Classic Shipwright Services is currently a small and personal business established in 2017, based on the south coast of England between Portsmouth and Southampton. I have a small, extremely skilled team of shipwrights and boatbuilders when required, depending on the nature of the contract/works undertaken.
Classic Shipwright Services specialises in the restoration of classic yachts and the manufacturing of bespoke wood furniture.
At Classic Shipwright Services only the best quality woods and materials are sourced. Reclaimed timbers are handpicked to ensure best quality craftsmanship and customer satisfaction.
Classic Shipwright Services have built up a reputation in all types of restoration, catering for all classic yacht needs and an appreciation of hand-crafted workmanship. As a qualified shipwright myself, my knowledge and expertise are in traditional yacht restoration with meticulous attention to detail.
Currently, I am fully mobile and able to work in most environments as to your requirements.

Harbour Defence Motor Launch (HDML1387) originally built in 1943 – A 4-year full restoration
Originally built in 1869 – A 1.5 year full twin deck restoration
Originally built in 1928 – A 1 year hull planking restoration
Originally built in 1934 – A 5 month Traditional caulking of V seam deck with cotton
Originally built in 1860 – A 2.5 year bulwark restoration
– A 1.5 year New Build Project – Deck, Deck beams, Frames, Stem, Gunwales, Keel, Stringers, Sub deck .
Originally built in 1908 – A 4-month project Traditionally caulking the Hull, Deck and Coach roof in oakum.
Originally built in 1999 – Stripping and re finishing coach roof and bulwark.
